PROČ? Jednoho dne jsem si jednoduše uvědomil, že když si chci jít zadriftovat Báwem (viz garáž), tak musím čekat buď hodně do noci, nebo se jít povozit o víkendu časně z rána. Jindy to prostě z důvodu velkého provozu a bezpečnosti nebylo možné. Proto se mi před nedávnem uvelebila v mozku myšlenka, posunout své jízdní požitkářství do jiného levelu, a to směrem mimo přelidněné silnice. S tím se nesla i myšlenka na vůz, který se k takovýmto kratochvílím bude patřičně hodit, bude pokud možno finančně dostupný, spolehlivý a především se v terénu nebude trápit. Tím pádem ze hry vypadly veškerá SUVčka, která se sice ideálně hodí ke každodennímu ježdění, ovšem ne pro to co hledám. Bude se jednat o káru pro radost, která nebude v každodenním provozu, ale o to víc od ní budu očekávat v okamžicích kdy jí vytáhnu z garáže. VÝBĚR Proto jsem vybíral pouze z offroadů obsahujících rám, redukční převodovku a především možnost uzavřít mezinápravovou a nápravovou uzávěrku. Mezi favority se postupem času probojovali krátké verze Nissanu Patrol Y61 s 2,8 dieselovým šestiválcem a Toyota Land Cruiser 90 s třílitrovým čtyřválcem. Ptáte se proč krátké verze? Inu, když člověk jezdí většinou sólo (rodinný vůz u nás zastupuje břichoplaz Octavia 4x4), není potřeba sebou tahat zbytečné kilogramy navíc, nehledě na větší zlomový úhle offroadů s kratším rozvorem. Jak na snímcích vidíte, konečná volba padla na Toyotu Land Cruiser 90, vybavenou třílitrovým dieselem a požadovanou redukcí i uzávěrkami. Patrol sice disponuje poněkud bytelnější přední nápravou (Toyota má nezávislé zavěšení), takže se na rozdíl od Toyoty lépe hodí k případnému nazvedání podvozku = zvětšení zdvihů, avšak tuto úpravu zatím nepouvažuji za tak důležitou, neboť na to moje „ bude i běžný podvozek jistě stačit. JÍZDA Vlastní jízda s tímto obstarožním offroadem je překvapivě komfortní. Kvůli Krátkému rozvoru náprav jsem měl obavy z jisté nervozity při jízdě rovně, ovšem stabilita podvozku se mi subjektivně jeví jako velmi slušná s přihlédnutím na obuté pneumatiky. Motor o výkonu 125 koní ještě používá vstřik do komůrky čímž sice disponuje relativně malým stádem koní, ovšem jeho chod je mnohem měkčí a dovolím si říct i tišší než verze Common rail, která se do těchto vozů montovala od roku 2001 nebo 2002. Přesto, že novější motor produkuje celých 160 koní, přišlel mi během zkušebních jízd při výběru Lanďáku prakticky stejně dynamický jako slabší verze, kterou jsem nakonec zakoupil. Akcelerace stroje z 0-100 dle hodnot výrobce trvá 14s, avšak pružnost s jakou zrychluje například ze 70-110km/h mi přijde srovnatelná s většinou obyčejných aut. Díky tomu se Toyota nestává brzdou běžného provozu, čímž samozřejmě netvrdím, že se jedná o závoďáka. Přednosti tohohle auta totiž leží úplně někde jinde. V okamžiku kdy vjedete na děravou silnici, či polňačku nemáte sebemenší problém s pohodlím a pocitem, že by vůz nějak trpěl, nicméně osobně ho využívám především k toulání se krajinou, kde se ukazuje ve skutečně dobrém světle. Díky světlé výšce 27cm si břichem škrtne skutečně jen občas, přičemž jí zespodu chrání relativně bytelný aftermarketový hliníkový plech pod motorem a plastový pod převodovkou a rozvodovkou. Ten plánuji v dohledné době vyměnit rovněž za pevnostní, stejně jako přední nárazník. Řazení pětistupňové převodovky má velmi krátké a přesné dráhy, které bych čekal spíš u sporťáku, než u offroada, což přináší zcela zvláštní a bizardně příjemný pocit během každého přeřazení. Převod řízení patří jednoznačně k těm offrodově zaměřeným, neboť jeho převod patří mezi ty skutečně pomalé, což přijde vhod v terénu při zdolávání technických pasáží, méně už však při běžném provozu v zatáčkovitých úsecích. Ale to je hold daň za úzce zaměřený vůz. Co je ovšem velmi příjemné a dalo by se říct až opojné je vysoký pozes s pohledem na vysoko položenou kapotu, podpořené navíc vědomím, že díky vysoké světlé výšce přejedete a projedete téměř cokoliv. O to horší jsou pak okamžiky procitnutí, kdy je potřeba například na sněhové břečce brzdit, jelikož i přes maximální trakci při akceleraci (díky trvalému pohonu 4x4) a poměrně velice slušné průchodnosti terénem platí fyzikální zákony včetně setrvačnosti i pro teréňáky. Zmíněný pohon 4x4 tak mnohokrát způsobuje iluzi bezpečí i v okamžicích, kdy tomu tak právě z hlediska brzdné dráhy není. Jelikož se však s Tyoytkou stejně většinou pohybujeme mimo běžný provoz, nenastává u nás taková situace příliš často, co zač jsem vlastně rád... Silné stránky Průchodnost terénem, robusnost, redukční převodovka, uzávěrka mezinápravy, uzávěrka zadní nápravy... Tento kousek absolutně bez známek koroze a dokonce nebouraný, zatím :-). To se moc nevidí. Slabé stránky stáří Zkušenosti se servisem (poruchy, opravy): Přední diferák se odporoučel, bolest této modelové řady. Nahrazen modifikovaným originálem (za raketu), který by měl být už bytelný a hl. odolný. Také zadní špéra, tedy její elektr. pohon vysloveně uhnil = byl z hliníku umístěn na ráně na zadní nápravě a za ty léta materiál skříně elektromotrku zdegradoval. Náhrada za originál nový, taky za raketu, mi udělal taky pěkný vítr v kapse. Za oba dva díly by byla ojetá, ale celkem pěkná Octavia v TéDéÍčku... :-) Ale když jí miluješ, není co řešit... The Beduins to rodzinka która od zawsze dużo podróżowała. Wcześniej autostopem, rowerem, pieszo, motocyklem, koleją... Kiedy na świecie pojawiła im się pierwsza córka zamienili motocykl na rodzinny samochód osobowy, do dalekich wypraw asfaltowych. Dosyć szybko, juz po siedmiu miesiącach znów musieli pochylić nad rodzinnymi planami eksploracyjnymi - osobówkę skradziono. I tu na horyzoncie po raz pierwszy pojawił sie samochód terenowy. Jeden ze znajomych skierował ich do osoby posiadającej pokaźną kolekcję aut - w tym kilkanaście Mercedesów G. Jeden z nich mogli odkupić z przeznaczeniem do remontu. Po głębszym namyśle i kalkulacji nie podjęli się jednak tego wyzwania a to ze względu i na spory koszt naprawy, czas potrzebny na taka pracę oraz brak komfortu użytkowania na co dzień takiego pojazdu. Jednak wizja posiadania rodzinnego samochodu terenowego zakotwiczyła w ich głowach na dobre. Rozpoczęły się poszukiwania odpowiedniego auta. Na początek powrót do niegdysiejszego marzenia - Land Rover Discovery. Jednak to miał być pojazd bezawaryjny, więc Land Rover absolutnie odpadł w przedbiegach. Następnym typem było Mitsubishi Pajero. I tu przeszkodą wydała się rama samonośna modelu, nie sprzyjająca bardziej ambitnym terenowy planom... Bez własnych doświadczeń, bazując na doświadczeniu znajomych i marzeniach o dalekich wyprawach trafili w końcu na Toyotę Land Cruiser J95. Jak przystało na laików offroadowych marzyli o Toyocie wyposażonej we wszystkie możliwe gadżety, przydaśki, uginającej się pod ciężarem stalowych zderzaków, wyciągarek i szpeju zamontowanego na dachu... Wierzyli, że im więcej szpeju, tym auto dzielniejsze, nie zawiedzie i wjedzie wszędzie. Dzisiaj, po przebyciu wielu tras poza utwardzonymi szlakami wiedzę tę mają już ugruntowaną i nie do końca jest ona spójna z ich początkowymi wyobrażeniami... Wówczas wiedzieli już, że ich oczekiwania i wyobrażenia podróżnicze może zaspokoić dziewięćdziesiątka piątka. Najbardziej odpowiednia byłaby wersja z silnikiem benzynowym, lub w następnej kolejności diesel TD, ostatecznie D4D. Pół roku poszukiwań, jeżdżenia po Polsce i odwiedzania Toyotowych ASO zaowocowało znalezieniem samochodu na forum Toyota Land Cruiser Owners Club Poland. Teoretycznie auta o dobrze znanej historii oraz od znanego użytkownika powinno zaowocować bardziej pewnym zakupem wiec w październiku 2014 roku stali się posiadaczami wymarzonego Land Cruisera. Auto zostało już przygotowane do poważniejszych zabaw przez poprzedniego właściciela. Samochód został wyposażony w opony MT w rozmiarze 275/75/R16, wyciągarkę, zabudowę sypialną i bagażnik dachowy z oświetleniem. Do tego posiadało preferowany silnik czyli 1KZ-TE. Po zakupie przyszła pora na wymianę wszystkich płynów, filtrów, rozrządu, tarcz i klocków hamulcowych oraz sprawdzenie wszystkich elementów pod względem ich sprawności. Po tych zabiegach przyszła pora na pierwsze terenowe wyjazdy wokół komina. Poznając samochód, ucząc się jazdy w terenie cały rok 2015 Ania i Paweł spędzili na wycieczkach po Polsce. W roku kolejnym zrealizowali rodzinną wyprawę na Bałkany, z jej głównym celem Albanią. Na trasie przejazdu znalazła się również Serbia i Macedonia. Następny rok to offroadowa Rumunia, z noclegami pod gwiazdami o której mogliście przeczytać na naszej stronie (link). Samochód, oprócz wypraw dalekich, jest również pojazdem rodzinnym, którym służy do jazdy na co dzień. W sumie przebyli nim niewiele ponad 30 000 km. Moze nie jest to powalający dystans ale nie jeźdzą po to, żeby kogoś powalać. Jeźdzą rodzinnie, z przyjemnością, dla poznawania świata i bycia razem. Te wspólne kilometry sprawiły, że zamienili opony MT na AT, że sprzedali zabudowę sypialną, która jest teraz w podróży dookoła świata ( że dołożyli stalowe progi. Przekonali się, że dla ich potrzeb wielkie i ciężkie zderzaki metalowe nie są potrzebne. Dowiedzieli się jak ważny jest prześwit auta... Rozkochali się w kempingowaniu na dziko i tą miłością zarażają coraz to nowych ludzi, z którymi wspólnie podróżują. 1 March 2011, 16:10. 3rd Gen Surf is very similar to the LWB LC 90/95 Colorado/Prado, including same chassis, engine, etc. In terms of overlanding cruisers, the 80 series and the hard top ambulance model are most common and most often recommended for the heavier duty expedition work, but a Colorado/Prado or 2nd/3rd Gen should be fine as well. A smaller Toyota Land Cruiser – Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 90 Series – was introduced in 1996 to counter the growing popularity of Mitsubishi Pajero. Toyota was aiming for supremacy in all classes, so it developed the 90-series Prado as its final weapon against the Mitsubishi Pajero. In addition to the standard size body there was also a wide-size body version, a sporty 3-door model as well as a 5-door model, which were all easy to distinguish from the outside. The 90-series Prado had a wide and low form, and looked amazingly similar to the Mitsubishi Pajero. Even the engine had similar specs, with two choices for the power unit, the 5VZ-FE-type gasoline engine (24-valve V6, 3,378cc, 185PS, specs) and the 1KZ-TE-type diesel engine with intercooler (2,982cc, 140PS, specs). The power train was a full-time 4×4, so that the lineup was clearly a front on comparison with the Mitsubishi Pajero. The Prado lineup included the KZJ90 short (diesel engine), the VZJ90 (gasoline engine), and in the long the KZJ95 (diesel engine) and the VZJ95 (gasoline engine). Like the 80-series, the long also offered a model called Active Vacation built for camping. In this way the specs and the lineup of the 90-series Prado was a major change, but there was another secret behind its birth. Actually the 90-series Prado essentially shared the same chassis platform as the 4 Runner 185-series that had just debuted half a year before. From the time of the 70-series wagon these had shared the same type of engine, and were in a similar class. In a sense it was an inevitable response to user demand that it would take on independent suspension in the front. This decision led to a big market success. It was featured in a television commercial, quite unusual for a 4×4, and it overtook the Mitsubishi Pajero as planned. In 1997 a new engine was added, the 3RZ-FE-type gasoline engine (DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) in-line 4-cylinder, 2,693cc, 150PS, specs), widening the variations. In 1999 there was a fairly significant minor change introduced, with changes in the front grille, front bumper, door trim, combination meter design, and the addition of multi-reflector headlamps. In addition an Optitron meter was added, along with other luxury upgrades. Even in the mechanisms options were added which could deliver high-performance on unpaved or muddy roads, such as Active Traction Control (TRC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), as well as the option for A/T in most grades. In 2000 a newly developed diesel engine was introduced, the 1KD-FTV-type common rail type direct-injection engine with intercooler (DOHC in-line 4-cylinder, 2,982cc, 170PS, specs). This was also a response to current demands for lower fuel consumption, cleaner gas emissions, less noise and vibration. Moreover, at this time also an engine immobilizer was added to all grades of the Land Cruiser as standard equipment, reflecting the problem of rising car thefts in Japanese society. The 90-series Prado shares the same chassis platform as the 185-series 4 Runner, but the frame has greater durability than that of the Surf. The side frame on the Prado is constructed of fully closed cross-section members, and the inner channels, which these forms are made of, thicker steel plate. The inner channel is made of steel plates inside the side frame that reinforce and strengthen the entire frame. The front section of the frame has the first independent suspension ever put on a Land Cruiser. Beyond this, of the 2 upper and lower arms, the upper arm is mounted in a higher position than the usual type, which strengthens the overall resistance of the suspension to horizontal G force. Along with major changes to the suspension, the 90-series also introduced a newly developed 5VZ-FE-type gasoline engine. This V6 DOHC engine with numerous technical improvements made to the cylinder heads was also more compact and lighter weight. Bringing the two camshafts closer together reduced the relative angle of the intake and exhaust valves, and as a result it was possible to create a pent roof type combustion chamber with less heat loss. Moreover, this engine was tuned for higher performance in the low- to mid- rpm range making it easier to handle. The diesel engine in the 90-series was inherited from the 1KZ-TE-type engine of the 70-series Prado. Thanks to its compact turbo charger and air-cooled intercooler, this engine got improved output, better fuel consumption, and lower emissions. In addition, with the balance shaft and reinforced durable cylinder block there was also less noise and vibration. As the 90-series developed new variations were added to the lineup, and more off-road 4×4 mechanisms were added. To cope with increased vehicle weight a new 4-cylinder 3RZ-FE-type gasoline engine was selected, and the 1KZ-FE-type diesel engine was replaced with a direct fuel injection 1KD-FTV-type that has greater output, lower fuel consumption, and cleaner emissions. Moreover, Active TRC was added to the drive train, which helped maintain constant delivery of drive force by automatically applying the brakes to any tire that began to spin when driving on uneven ground, enabling you to take full advantage of the existing traction in the other tires. This made the Prado both safer and more aggressive at the same time. The right and left sides of the instrument panel design were clearly separated by the center panel. This was a car built for world markets, where the steering wheel could be moved to right or left with a minimum exchange of parts. The 90-series Prado had the most interior utility of any model in the Land Cruiser series. It has 2 rows of seats, all of which lie flat, so you can easily take it camping. With the minor change in 2000, the luxury styling of the interior went even further. The luxury specs included wood-like paneling on the instrument panel, an Optitron speedometer and tachometer like on the Land Cruiser 100, and other luxury upgrades. The V6 DOHC 5VZ-FE-type engine produced 185PS/30kgm. The addition of a long intake manifold increased the inertial effect, producing fuller torque in the mid- to low-rpm range. Moreover, the latest engine gained even more reliability using a new engine electronics system. The 1KD-FTV was the latest Land Cruiser in the series, employing a common rail type direct-injection diesel engine with turbo charger and intercooler. The engine specs were 170PS/ which delivered higher power, yet also with improvements in emissions.
